All men are encouraged to attend the first meeting. After that the meetings will only be open to the men who commit to participate in the training program.
Biblical eldership is not for the faint-hearted or the power-hungry. The following texts will help you grasp the realities of shepherding God’s flock. Ezekiel 34:1-31; Acts 20:17-36; Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; Hebrews 13:17-21; 1 Peter 5:1-5. Please read them before attending the first meeting.
Attention: All men (including current elders and ministers) who desire and aspire to the eldership are required to participate in the Men’s Forum training program. Men who decline to participate forfeit their right to serve as elders.
Participation in the training program does not guarantee that every man will be nominated, ordained, or appointed to the eldership. Only those men who meet the biblical requirements for eldership may be nominated, ordained, or appointed to serve as elders.
